Our current research focus falls under the design, fabrication and characterization
of MEMS/NEMS based sensors and actuators under the following three categories:
a) Linear and nonlinear analysis of arrays of MEMS/NEMS based sensors and actuators.
b) Finite element modeling of different forms of carbon nanotubes and its application.
c) Multidomian coupled problems in MEMS/NEMS such as fluid-structure interaction,
laser-structure interaction, nonlocal-surface effects
Design softwares and characterization facility at SenAct Lab include:
a) MSA 500 Polytec Laser Vibrometer
b) Spectrum Analyzer
c) Lock-in Amplifier
d) Function generator
e) Oscilloscope
f) Vector analyzer
g) Software (Intellisuite, Coventorware, ANSYS, COMSOL Multiphysics).
